Company History

Pacific Bio-Material Management, Inc. was incorporated in 2000.  With a deep understanding of the laboratory industry and its needs, the founders focused on the goal of providing the life science community in the Western U.S. with a regulatory compliant off-site biological repository.  A staff of highly trained professionals, expert in specimen management, allowed PBMMI to become the preferred vendor of biotech, pharma, and research institutions looking for biorepository management solutions.

Located in Fresno, California, the repository is equipped with the latest technology to maintain low temperature environments. All critical equipment systems have built-in redundancy and are meticulously maintained to manufacturers’ specifications. In 2001, the company expanded its capabilities and created a new Division, Pacific Scientific Transport, to include the safe and legal transport, and logistical management, of biologicals at any temperature.  Today, Pacific Scientific Transport is recognized as an industry leader focused solely on the relocation of laboratories with biological material, and has the licenses, special permits, and certifications to handle many types of hazardous (infectious, regulated chemicals, etc.) material. Today, the company also includes a second biorepository in New York, through its service partner, Novare Biologistics.
